Vision
Vida Asana is an Eco-Resort that specializes in yoga retreats, surf camps, mountain bike adventures, and a healthy sustainable lifestyle. Our goal is to create a happy environment that supports education, mindfulness, and adventure.
Come rediscover yourself between the ocean and the jungle. Vida Asana was founded and built by Alejandro and Rose, in 2002, and at that time was one of the first yoga retreat centers on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Since then Vida Asana has grown into a beautiful retreat center and eco-resort, providing a combination of lodging, fresh (mostly) organic meals, as well as yoga, surfing, and mountain biking vacations. Our guests enjoy a simple and mindful experience that is often lacking in their daily lives. We encourage our guests to soak up the sounds, smells, and visually appealing landscape, while letting go and allowing their soul room to breath.
We’re also dedicated to the local community: both our guests and full-time residents often engage in garden building and other sustainable community building programs. Our current primary causes are BJJ Jaco and Costas Verdes. BJJ Jaco teaches our children the joys of physical fitness, discipline, and mindfulness, while Costas Verdes ensures this beautiful land is here to enjoy when they are older.
Vida Asana is tucked away in the rainforest, less than a mile from the beach, and blends perfectly with the jungle environment. Playa Hermosa is a quiet surfing community, located between the beach towns of Jaco and Manuel Antonio, about 90 minutes south of San Jose (SJO) airport. This location allows our guests to enjoy a wide range of activities, if they choose to venture off of the property.
